Description Bastien Nocera 2005-09-14 10:10:47 UTC
MacOS X' desktop can tell the user when there's not enough power available for a
USB device. Those also seem to be available in the Linux kernel, but not exported.

HAL should receive a signal from the kernel about this and signal to the
interested applications.

An example of what MacOS X presents.

Newer versions of the kernel does printk this out - I saw this a few days ago
when using a hub that was buspowered. Would be useful to chase the kernel people
so we can get an uevent. Leaving this bug open until we get that.

HAL is in maintenance mode - no new features are added. All future development focuses on udisks, upower and other parts of the stack. See Software/DeviceKit for more information.
