Writer document with a table that has another (nested) table in the left upper cell

If you create one table within another table, it is not possible to select the inner (nested) table. It is also not possible to put an empty line before the inner table.

Thanks for bugreport
> it is not possible to select the inner (nested) table
Place cursor inside and press Ctrl-A two times

> It is also not possible to put an empty line before the inner table.
Put cursor before text and press Alt-Enter

This is not working with Version 3.5.2.2.

>Put cursor before text and press Alt-Enter
This works, and with a new line before the inner Table it is possible to select it. However, this is not intuitive.

Try also this: in Navigator right click table, select in context menu Table->Edit

> Version|LibO 3.5.0 Beta2 |LibO 3.5.2 Release
Version - most old version where bug appears, not current version. If bug not reproducible in current version, it should be closed

Also works correctly on 3.5.5 and 3.6.beta1 on Fedora 64 bit

With LO 3.5.3.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 32Bit in KVM you can select the inner table but pasting it in another cell of the outer table is not working.
Comment 7 sasha.libreoffice 2012-07-20 14:40:57 UTC
It is because Writer thinks that we need only content of selected cell, not table itself.
For copy-paste inner table to another cell of outer table, select first cell of outer table, then copy-paste it.
For selecting cell of outer table, place mouse cursor to middle of it, click and drag to right until 2 cells become selected. Then drag mouse cursor back until one cell will be selected.

PS: if we need to copy-paste table from text into table cell, then select table with one line of text before table. Then copy-paste and remove unneeded line of text.

Resolve as fixed.
Pls do not jump to other possibly related behaviour.
If there is another bug, pls make a new issue. thanks a lot :)
