Created attachment 56287 [details]
Screenshot of plot, can see white data points ontop of blue/red ones after saving/opening xls. Also shows secondary axis labels over primary axis labels.

Problem description:

a. Colour of third data set in chart always saves as white
b. Secondary axis value labels imposed over primary axis

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create scatter plot with three sets of Y values
2. Save as xls
3. Open xls, third data set is coloured white
4. Recolour, save, open, still white.

Current behaviour:
Third data set always coloured white when saved to xls

Expected behaviour:
Colour of data points should be saved correctly.

Hmmm, your version is rather old, could you try again with current release (3.4.5) ?
Vanilla version is here : http://www.libreoffice.org/download/

What is your version of Ubuntu ?

Best regards. JBF

The screenshot is from Ubuntu 10.04, I appear not to have the option to upgrade LibreOffice to 3.4.5 on that.

I've tried on Lubuntu 11.10, and upgraded to LibreOffice 3.4.5. The behaviour is the same - the bug persists.

I have also just opened the xls file on Excel 2007 on a Vista machine, and the fill colour of the markers is set to none for the third data set (ie the problem appears to be on LOffice saving xls rather than opening). Perhaps worth noting is that the symbol in Excel for that data set was the flat wide rectangle, and it did display an outer line colour.

In Excel I then changed the fill colour to match that of the symbol's line colour and saved as xls.

Opening in LibreOffice, the symbols were correctly filled - again suggesting to me that the problem is not when LibreOffice opens xls. The symbols in LibreOffice were the same upside down triangle they had been originally.

I'm afraid I forgot to note whether the secondary axis was on the rhs or lhs when I opened it in Excel.
