Description Andrew 2012-02-08 00:48:21 UTC
I use kubuntu 11.10 with libtxc-dxtn (without it game not run) deb from xorg edgers ppa.
My hardware: core quad Q6600, 8Gb memory, amd radeon 5850
With start of game the fps is above 30. After hour of game fps down to 10. That may be cured by changing, for example, vertical sync in game settings, but after hour of game fps down to 10 again.
With proprietary drivers on the same configuration all is ok.
Excuse me for my english.

Yesterday I switched to xorg edgers, but the problem has remained.

Hmm, sounds like maybe there's some kind of resource leak, and when you change settings, things are reinitialized and it starts afresh...

I have a hd 4670, I couldn't see something like that in WOW.
are you using WOTLK?
Comment 8 Pablo 2012-03-23 12:50:31 UTC
Sorry, I forgot the specs in the title, FYI in WOW 3.3.5a this is not happening
Comment 9 Andrew 2012-03-26 00:45:40 UTC
I use World of warcraft 4.3 Cataclysm with all updates on official server

Andrew, Kubuntu 11.10 reached EOL on May 9, 2013. For more on this, please https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases.

If this is reproducible in a supported release, it will help immensely if you filed a new report with Ubuntu by ensuring you have the package xdiagnose installed, and that you click the Yes button for attaching additional debugging information running the following from a terminal:
ubuntu-bug xorg

Also, please feel free to subscribe me to it.
