System Environment: -------------------------- Platform: IronLake Kernel: (drm-intel-testing)396ee23db6b76354e487fd2cfdacbd989442f81d Bug detailed description: ------------------------- We connected 3 displays to a IVB machine, by a DP on board, a VGA on board and a DP on the Eaglemont card. Then only VGA could display, and the other two DP are black screen. The dmesg is attached(dmesg.incorrect) And we got the CRTCs value with testdisplay: 3 48 (0,0) (0x0) 1680x1050 60 1680 1728 1760 1840 1050 1053 1059 1080 0x9 0x48 119000 5 48 (0,0) (0x0) 2560x1600 60 2560 2608 2640 2720 1600 1603 1609 1646 0x9 0x48 268500 7 48 (0,0) (0x0) 1920x1200 60 1920 1968 2000 2080 1200 1203 1209 1235 0x9 0x48 154000 As my understanding, two of the three timings should be the same while display with 3 pipe, right? So, I had another try. I booted the machine without any display, after that plug in a DP display to the board, a DP to EM card and a VGA to the board. Then all of three displays come up. Also the dmesg is attached(dmesg.correct).And the CRTCs value is as following: CRTCs: id fb pos size 3 25 (0,0) (0x0) 1024x768 75 1024 1040 1136 1312 768 769 772 800 0x5 0x40 78800 5 25 (0,0) (0x0) 1024x768 75 1024 1040 1136 1312 768 769 772 800 0x5 0x40 78800 7 25 (0,0) (0x0) 1024x768 75 1024 1040 1136 1312 768 769 772 800 0x5 0x40 78800
Created attachment 56847 [details] The dmesg when only VGA display.
Created attachment 56848 [details] The dmesg when all the 3 display work.
BTW, the combination 2DP + HDMI doesn't work, too.
Created attachment 58019 [details] dmesg with VGA+DP+HDMI I have try with the Kernel: (drm-intel-testing)9c5a1897768918a941aebbeaefd9f698358c7cf9 the issue still occurs. I have try the combination VGA+DP+HDMI,a VGA on board,DP and HDMI on the Eaglemont card, but only the VGA and DP can work.
I'm pretty sure this is just an eaglemont limitation; the boards are really configurable but for 3 pipe I think you need two of them. Since 3 pipe works ok w/o an eaglemont (with eDP plus any 2) I'm going to close this as invalid.

Since 3 pipe works Jesse, What's the meaning when you said "two of them"? > ok w/o an eaglemont (with eDP plus any 2) I'm going to close this as invalid.
> What's the meaning when you said "two of them"? I meant two eaglemont cards, but I'm not even sure if our SDVs support that... either two cards or a special jumper config on the card. Jesse
