Screenshot of the table that causes the problem.

Scenario: I have a table where one row of the table spans across a page break (with a "consistent table header", meaning the table header automatically shows up on the second page of the table). Assume at least 2 columns, where the text in the first column is completely contained in page 1 (small amount of text), but the text in the second column is what causes the row to spill over into the next page.

Action: I attempt to highlight the text in both columns, starting at the first character of the text in the left cell (within the first page), and then highlighting across into the next cell on the same page (so all of the text in the first 2 cells are highlighted on the first page), and then I move the mouse down to highlight the rest of the second cell that spilled over onto page 2.

This causes LibreOffice to freeze and keep the focus of the GUI.

Attached is an example of the document I am using.
