badly refreshed Writer screen after document close

Problem description: 

Steps to reproduce:
1. open .odt document
2. File->Close document

Current behavior:

The UI remains partially redrawn, as illustrated by the attached screen capture.

Expected behavior:

The UI is fully redrawn.

Platform (if different from the browser): 
              
Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:10.0.2) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.2

FWIW, I'm using Gnome Shell.

[Not reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.5.2 - Windows Vista Home Premium (32bit) Spanish UI"
