I open xls-file in Calc and I see too low height of rows. It makes unreadable information in that rows. When I open this file in excel then all rows have normal height and all readable. In very old versions of Open Office this file was looks fine with normal row heights, but in latest versions of LibreOffice and Open Office it looks with low row heights. And not only this one xls-file.
Thanks for bugreport Please, attach small xls file that demonstrates this bug for testing
For now I have installed Apache OpenOffice 3.4.0. In this version I have not this bug. This xls-file looks good with normal row heights in this version of OO. But previously I have used LibreOffice from Ubuntu repository and that version have this bug. Possible this bug related only to version from Ubuntu repository? But I see this bug with some different versions of Ubuntu. Last good version which I see was from Ubuntu 8.04 repository. Many latest versions from Ubuntu repository have this bug. Latest versions which I have tested was from Oneiric and Precise and both of this releases have this bug. For now I have removed LibreOffice installed from Ubuntu repository, download Apache OpenOffice from official site and installed this OO and now I have not this bug. Sorry, I can't attach this xls-file because this file contain confidential finance information.
Although I am pretty sure that this one is a DUP of "Bug 34717 - FILEOPEN FORMATTING: automatic row height is too small in particular .xls", I mar this one as INVALID because we can't check anything without a sample document. @reporter: Please feel free to reopen this bug if you find out that the problem still exists with the current stable LibreOffice version and if you can contribute requested additional information due to <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> (especially BugReport Details)!
