Description Andrew Chadwick 2012-03-22 08:14:54 UTC
The CREATE wiki has died, taking with it the human-readable texts once housed there. This leaves us with no way to progress the text of the specification or even begin to work towards 1.0.

I have a database dump supplied by Boudewijn Rempt, and there's the WayBack Machine copy too. What can be salvaged should be put up somewhere, ideally under http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications , and work should continue there. A good model for future work would be http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/systemtray-spec - top level page identifies project resources and historical versions of the spec.

It's now up at http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/OpenRaster and will be listed shortly on the main http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications page when I've decided which section it goes under (perhaps when we've plugged some of the gaps in the existing draft too).

The new location should be publicised. It would also be nice if http://create.freedesktop.org/wiki/OpenRaster could be pointed at the new location - but that's not essential.
