Problem description: For some reason, my Openoffice/Libreoffice Tips facility considerably slows the UI down. Steps to reproduce: 1. Enable Tools/Options/General/Help Tips 2. Click around or hover on toolbar icon Current behavior: * It takes up to 2 seconds for the menu text or icon to 'raise' indicating clickability. Once raised, it registers a click rapidly. If I click prior to the 2 seconds, it will delay until the click registers. Expected behavior: * UI is snappy irrelevant of Help Tips setting. Platform (if different from the browser): Browser: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
Thanks for bugreport Please, verify if on another computers this reproducible
Checked with: LO 3.5.5.3 Build ID: own W7 debug build Windows 7 Professional SP1 64 bit Could not reproduce. No delays.
fresh install on W7, help tips are already enabled... and no delays could you please try on a virtual machine? so we can ensure fresh install on your system
Created attachment 66796 [details] screencast illustrating slow tooltip I could not screencast the mouse pointer. Hopefully you'll notice delay between iconchange->tooltip. Note: Libreoffice built-in help is NOT installed.
Installing LO built-in help does remove the delay.

Let's close.
