Description Andy 2012-04-08 15:07:05 UTC
Files saved from Calc 3.5 with a password fail to open with version 3.4 or earlier. This was tested on Ubuntu and Windows. The error message is:

Read-Error.
Format error discovered in the file sub-document content.xml at 1.0(row,col).

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Calc in a system with 3.5 installed (e.g. Ubuntu Precise)
2. Enter any content
3. Save with a password
4. Transfer file to system with 3.4 installed (e.g. Ubuntu Oneiric)
5. Attempt to open file

This can be a problem when exchanging secure data between sites which have upgraded and sites which have not.

See the release notes regarding encryption. We changed encryption algorithms for 3.5 and 3.4.5
