The build system needs adjustments that everything works properly on Solaris.

I don't think sun.cf has ever used /usr/openwin as ProjectRoot in the X.Org releases, only in Sun's SunOS & Solaris customized releases. The ProjectRoot in the X.Org release should probably stay not set to /usr/openwin since the files installed won't be compatible with the Solaris /usr/openwin ones and would break a Solaris system if you tried doing an install there.
