For the LibreOffice Project we have a long therm plan to make OpenID capable as many as possible related websites.
If that matches with plans of other projects, it would be great if FDO Bugzilla could get that capability, too (by an extension?).

Are you aware of any plugins that enable bugzilla to be an openid provider? If so, I can take a look, but it's out of scope for what sitewranglers can develop ourselves.

@Florian:
Did you find a plugin / addon that can do the OpenID job?
Comment 3 Florian Effenberger 2012-05-04 01:40:12 UTC
We did a little research during the Hackfest, and there seems to be a plugin for Bugzilla. However, IIRC, this would require us to install our own instance, or ask the FreeDesktop.org providers to enable that plugin.

May be <http://bzr.mozilla.org/bugzilla/extensions/browserid/> can be a first step and an alternative?

<https://github.com/jalcine/bugzilla-openid> might work?

I've investigated this a fair bit further, and OpenID and bugzilla simply are not friends, so closing this.
