Format paintbrush affects the formatting of non selected text. Based on attached file: Position the cursor in the item 3 line of the table, on any of the words "blah". Click the format paintbrush icon. Double click on word "line2-1" in "item 2" line. Style is copied ok on the word line2-1 (no effect since the style is the same), but the font is changed to "TheSans Light" for the rest of the line .

Created attachment 64396 [details] .DOC file for style paintbrush test Apologies for the delay, Step 1: click somewhere in the word "Modification" in the second line, first row of the table. Step 2: click on the format paintbrush Step 3: select a part of the "Diagnostic de la situation"n text, for example: "de la" to apply the style. The style applies properly to the selected part, but the part that was left out changes style also!
Forgot to mention that I had to recreate a test file since I lost the old one, that's why I changed the steps to recreate the problem.
I can confirm, reproducing the bug with the same steps.

With LibO 5.2.0.3/Linux/de I could not reproduce the bug, though maybe I don't understand what goes wrong in the eyes of original reporter: the style of the mentioned line "Modification du processus" is Standard, applying it to the line "Diagnostic de la situation :" or parts of it does not change anything as they have also the style Standard, at least in my configuration. Therefore changing status to WORKSFORME. @reporter: Please be more specific with the description - what style exactly do you want to copy? Then the bug can be reopened.
