Description Bryce Harrington 2012-04-19 18:04:59 UTC
Forwarding this bug from Ubuntu reporter Nikopol:
http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/978968

[Problem]
Hangs using matlab on ubuntu have been reported by a number of people. The gpu error codes look rather generic, so not sure if these are usable. But we usually never hear from matlab users so something seems to be up. If you have access to a copy of matlab perhaps you can reproduce it on your end?

[Original Description]
randomly occurs - maybe associated with launching video
or maybe matlab

Configure before switching on.

The GPU is behaving like a naughty peeping tom and looking into places it shouldn't.

Report after applying patch would be fantastic.

Hi Chris et. al.

I'm happy to test this out, but not 100% sure what to do - any chance someone could outline the steps? I'm seeing the problem under 64-bit Ubuntu 12.04 when using matlab.

Timeout. Please do reopen if you can still reproduce the issue and help us diagnose the problem, thanks.
