we need a "no kb focus please" mechanism.  Or should this be implicit in a specific surface type?

Removing ICCCM bugs from 1.0 tracker, we'll add these features after 1.0.

This should be implemented so that the client does not do anything until the compositor actually tries to give it keyboard focus.

I believe this is now implicit in surface types.
