When I open up my data base file created in an earlier version fo LibreOffice base, I go to forms, then I close that and open up tables and select the table there. At that point the progam locks up and will not let me close it up unless I go to task manager to shut the program down. Problem description: Steps to reproduce: 1. .... 2. .... 3. .... Jave 6 update 24. Attached is the file. I only have a problem when I open the table. If I just stick with opening the form, I do not have a problem. Although I have not really done any entry on it for several months. I have only opened the file when I have received Libre Office updates to check for compatibility. On pc Debian x86-64, I don't reproduce with master branch (future 3.6) updated today. I opened the table and saw 2 lines in it. I've got some problems with 3.5 branch compilation so I can't test for the moment. Could you try to reproduce this with a brand new Libreoffice profile (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) ? Do you have some specific Libreoffice extensions ?
Hi Dick, Please answer the questions.
The program works fine with data base files created in Open Office. I only have the problem with files created with Libre Office. I can open the table, but the table seems to hang when I close it. When I try to exit, I end up having windows close the program due to lack of response. I have had problems in the past with running Libre Office due to compatibility with my Java. I had to go back and put in an older version of Java. I have created a newer data base file that I will attach that has similar problems. Dick

@Robert, "known" bug? Duplicate?
Hi Dick, yor bugreport isn´t reproducible. Exits your problem still? If yes: please list the steps in detail (with specifying the single menus etc.). List also your Java-sript-version. Are You using LO 3.6.0? Have you deleted your old LO-profile? If you mean, that screenshots are useful, attach this.
I have tested with the second attachment. My system: OpenSUSE 11.4 23bit Linux rpm. No problem to open the table with LO 3.5.0rc3, LO 3.5.7.1 and LO 3.6.2.2 Don't know, if this is a special Windows-problem.
Dick: did you try after having renamed your LO profile (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)? If you still reproduce it, could you give a try to a newer LO version (3.5.6 or 3.6.2)?
I am using version 3.6.2.2. I opened the file and closed it 5 minutes ago. It hung and right now windows is stating that the program is not responding. I tried using a different file and have had the same problem. Dick: thank you for your feedback. As I indicated in my previous comment, have you tried after having renamed your LO directory profile (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)?
That seems to have helped, well at least once, thought I would check out my other databases and see if they work as well. I see I will need to go and re-register my databases again after removing my user files. But if they work it will be worth it. But it is a nice fall day, so plan to take a nice walk with my wife first. Of course, after having enjoyed this nice fall day :-)
Nothing to hear about this bug since 6 months. When I understand comment 13 well, the problem has gone for Dick. I will close this bug as "Resolved" and "Worksforme". Feel free to reopen, if this bug already exists.
This is correct. The problem was diagnosed and fixed. It had to do with upgrade not removing items from the previous version.
