Skype is not getting instlled in all 64 bit Linux distributions (Fedora 16,Suse 12.1,Ubuntu 11.10)
 
Error: Protected multilib versions: mesa-libGL-7.11.2-3.fc16.i686 != mesa-libGL-8.0.1-9.fc16.x86_64

Issue Observed with Suse 12.1, Fedora16 and UBUNTU 11.10 64 bit destros.

While installing the skype below error occurs

ERROR:  Skype: error while loading shared libraries: libXv.so.1: cannot open shared object file : No such file or directory

While installing the skype below error occurs

Steps to repro the Issue
--------------------------
1.Prepare SUT as above mentioned configuration
2.Download skype from the website for each distribution(www.skype.com)
3.Open terminal & go to skype file location
4.Install skype & you will get the error message

You've installed a mesa package wrong somewhere..

There is no mesa 8.0 in fc16.

Agree with Dave.  You've installed something on your system, and are hitting packaging problems.  This isn't a bug.

Also: just so you're aware, this is a public website.  It may not be wise to post links to the Intel-internal HSD here.

After updating the 32 dependent libraries, Skype is getting installed on 64 bit Linux destros.
