Description Rainer Bielefeld Retired 2012-05-17 00:26:12 UTC
Parallel installation of Master "LOdev 3.6.0alpha0+ – WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) ENGLISH UI [Build ID: 7175cee]" (tinderbox: Win-x86@6-fast, pull time 2012-05-16 22:07:37) shows a transparent menu bar.
Expected: grey, non-transparent menu bar, background like in toolbars

This is intended, a change from Jan Holesovsky: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=64c696fc92a860fdbbe490ca503391b964dd646f

It would be more than understated to say that I dislike that. That design costs 1% productivity for me.
And BTW LibO 3.6 the only software on my WIN7 PC with a transparent menu bar.

I think we should not ship 3.6.0 with the current Menu bar. We should wait with integration until a proper readability is granted.

Menu unreadable

This is a no go. See my attachment Win7 64bit LODev 3.6 beta1.
I wonder why this is not a MAB and wonder why this has made it into a beta where a lot of people will be annoyed. Like me who wanted to test other features...

Kendy has reverted the glass menu, and implementing new opaque menu instead, see screenshot in next comment.
