Description Alex Fuller 2005-11-15 16:16:32 UTC
The aiptek driver seems to be very out of date compared to the one which comes
from http://aiptektablet.sourceforge.net/ or
http://sourceforge.net/projects/aiptektablet/ due to weird bugs where the tablet
isn't absolute to the whole screen and doesn't support pressure sesitivity. I am
not sure on the version which comes with v6.8.2 as I haven't looked at the
source (I use ubuntu breezy badger 5.10) but I replaced it with the pre-compiled
one which comes from the sourceforge project address and it fixes this. So I
just want to report this bug so that the latest version of the aiptek input
driver can be added into the latest xorg.

Thank You

pretty sure the fix for this will be to drop our outdated copy and just point
people at the one at aiptektablet.sf.net, the way we do for linuxwacom.

moving off the 7.1 tracker, updates would be a feature at this point.

assigning to me for investigation of external aiptek driver viability.

ajax: ping? i assume it's pretty safe to just drop it, even though we de facto
have already done so ..
Comment 4 Daniel Stone 2006-12-16 09:31:47 UTC
okay then, we've dropped it.
