lightdm is all slanted

Hello,

trying out xf86-video-modesetting (which wants to be added to bugzilla's components) 0.3.0, with linux 3.2.17 and server 1.12.2, all I got was a corrupted/slanted output, on Intel hardware (8086:2a42).

No plymouth involved, screenshot, X log, and dmesg will follow.

(Screenshot with lightdm; but same effect by starting a bare X then running e.g. xfce4-session inside)

Mraw,
KiBi.

FWIW, to make it possible for modesetting to be picked up automatically, I cherry-picked the following commits on top of server 1.12.2.

Assuming this at least fails differently now, closing.
