Created attachment 63641 [details] Crash report In a relatively simple database I have created a form with about 20 text fields to fill in new data. Not regularly but quite often it happens that LibreOffice freezes or even crashes when I use the delete-key at the end of a string in one of the text fields. All the new data of the current session are lost and cannot be recovered by the recovery operation at the new start of the programm. - Fort he experts I add the Apple crash report. Thanks, Holger
Could you give these information : - MacOs version - Libreoffice version - Java version - do you use any specific extension ? - could you attach the file ? - do you have accessibility ? (see this bug : https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47368)
Thank you, Julien, for your quick reaction. As I'm not a computing expert it took me a little longer to collect my answers to your questions: - MacOs version: Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4 (11E53) - Libreoffice version: LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 Build-ID: 165a79a-7059095-e13bb37-fef39a4-9503d18 - Java version: 14.3.0 - do you use any specific extension ? : No - could you attach the file ? The file I used when the crash appeared repeatedly could not be added (too large to add as attachment, although only with a few data samples; the file should have been much smaller than it is after I deleted several hundred data sets for the test file?!?). I try to send it by mail. - do you have accessibility ? No I hope this helps Thanks, Holger
On pc Debian x86-64, with master sources updated today, I didn't reproduce the problem. I also tried with 3.5 branch updated 2 or 3 days ago, nothing. Is the problem each time with the same field, if yes, which one is it ? Could you try to find a way to reproduce this problem more easily ?
The problem occurs in different text fields of my form. It never happens when I press delete in the middle of a string - only when the cursor is positioned at the end of a string and only when the last char of the string is space. Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the problem either. Right now LO crashed when I had just started to work on the second data set. I restarted LO with the original file and performed the same steps as before the crash - and everything was just fine ... I'll inform you when something substantial occurs.
> <schnipp> - and everything > was just fine ... > I'll inform you when something substantial occurs. I changed status to RESOLVED NOTABUG. Please feel free to change to NEW when something substantial occurs.
