Description josealb 2012-07-04 02:28:04 UTC
Problem description:
I can't make a parallel installation of the lodev3.6-debian-menus_3.6.0-12_all.deb package in Linux having LibreOffice 3.5.3.2 Build ID: 350m1(Build:2) installed (the system default for Linux Mint 13 MATE).
Steps to reproduce:
1. Install the default LO Linux Mint 13 version with the control centre.
2. Install the LOdev 3.6.0 Linux_x64 .DEB package with the command sudo dpkg -i *.deb
3. Install desktop-integration with the same command in its directory.

Current behavior:
Get this message:
"dpkg: acerca de lodev3.6-debian-menus_3.6.0-12_all.deb que contiene lodev-debian-menus:
lodev-debian-menus entra en conflicto con libreoffice-bundled
  libreoffice-core proporciona libreoffice-bundled y está presente y instalado.

Se encontraron errores al procesar:

Hello josealb, *,
IIRC, it was not possible to install two or more desktop integration packages with OOo as well in the past ... :(

Have you seen #31755, where someone has reported this for OpenSuse or #31541, where it is repoted for Fedora as well? If you want to install a dev build in parallel to a stable LO version, you should better follow the instructions on http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Installing_in_parallel (this way I test dev build alongside with stable releases without any problem ... ;) ).

HTH
Thomas.
