If anybody wants to try this, try typing in longish words of 7-12 characters in the table on page 7 especially. (75.50 KB, application/msword)

Hi,

I'm attaching DOC file that I was trying to edit with LibreOffice. A company sent me this file and I needed to edit it extensively and return it in DOC format. As I was trying to edit text in some of the tables, the amount of time it took to simply render the letters made it impossible to work with. It felt like typing text into a remote SSH terminal over a 28 kbps dialup connection. I thought maybe it had to do with word completion, so I disabled it, but it didn't help. So I finally gave up and edited the document in Microsoft Word (running on Wine!!) and it was a million times faster. I hope something can be done about this, as text entry is a rather important function of a word processor...

No problem with LO 3.5.4 or LO 3.6.0.0beta3.
Please, could you update your installation (current version is 3.5.4) and try again?
If you have spellcheck during typing, you can disable it.

Best regards. JBF
