When using nouveau driver, resolution reported by the monitor is 1921x1201, whereas xrandr report 1920x1200. The extra pixel leads to a blur screen. $ uname -a Kernel : Linux 3.2.0-3-rt-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT RT Thu Jun 28 10:46:01 UTC 2012 x86_64 GNU/Linux $ dpkg -l | grep nouveau ii libdrm-nouveau1a:amd64 2.4.33-3 Userspace interface to nouveau-specific kernel DRM services -- runtime ii xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1:0.0.16+git20120322+ab7291d-1 X.Org X server -- Nouveau display driver

Tested with xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 1.0.4-1, the problem is still present. Resolution is wrong in console, and from the boot (plymouth KO) too
