Thanks! Committed to git: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/media-player-info/commit/?id=fda00c3e4fdc788ec70b821ad63dc043f1a48ac2
I had to modify that rule in http://cgit.freedesktop.org/media-player-info/commit/?id=b34b650ef2 to fix bug 69389. Re-testing with that updated commit is appreciated!
Hi, To the original reporter: are you sure of your udev information ? It seems to me that you pasted the information from the Intel internal USB instead of your media player. I'm thinking that because - your udevadm info lacks ID_TYPE=disk - https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69389 where an external HDD is treated as a media player - https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=748647 (mine) where my iPod is treated like a zte_score instead of an iPod by Rhythmbox - https://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-general-1/slack-14-1-no-dev-usb-4175492544/#post5105473 where a printer gets labelled as a zte_score. - ZTE's vendor Id is 19d2 according to http://www.linux-usb.org/usb.ids I find it surprising that udev matches the hub when connecting something on it, but I also find that vid/pid pair suspicious. Reopening, if you'll allow me :)
Until we get an answer I removed the ZTE score from media-player-info.
