Description Zeki Bildirici 2012-08-01 07:51:59 UTC
Hi,

Currently, it is not possible to see the submitted bugs which are tagged in Needinfo status.

For example i have submitted 3 bugs which needsinfo but i cannot see them on My Bugs page.

It will be nice to see the submitted bugs tagged with Needinfo in My Bugs page. It will be easier to track too.

Regards,
Zeki

You can create your own saved search and save it in the footer just like My Bugs is. The method to do this:

Click on search in BFO (bugs freedesktop org)

Click on Advanced search

Highlight all statuses

Expand "Search By People"

Search for "The Bug Assignee"

Put in your name

Do the search, all your reported bugs will show up

Lastly, put in a name next to "Remember Search As ______"

Once you remember the search it will automatically show up in your footer. I just created one (liked your idea) named "ALL MY BUGS" where it shows my bugs in all statuses reported by me and assigned to me.

You can also go into preferences -> Saved Searches and see your saved searches as well as others (you can use others if they've made them public which by default they do)

my bad, in the step where you search by people it's the reporter, not the assignee

Hi,

Pardon me but that is not an easy way and it is not logical for me.

Bug needs info, and the submitter must provide info. I thnik many people track their bug repors using My bugs, because it is my bug and tagging it with needinfo shouldn't make it obsolute in my bugs list.

Do i need making special searches and saving them for tracking my bugs, or simply having them on my bugs list.

I dont know but i guess there is a crowded list of bugs tagged needinfo and will no response from their submitters.

Regards,
Zeki

I'll bring this up with FDO and see if we can figure something. Thanks for the feedback

Sorry - three status changes ;)

I completely forgot about this, raising it with FDO admins now :)

Thanks,
Joel

i don't understand this default setting of your bugzilla.
it's a pb. i don't understand this default setting of your bugzilla.
you increase the difficulty to manage our reports

i send reports to many bugzillas since 10 years. this is the first time i see this way to manage reports.

another things : to list my bug reports i must click on "my bugs"

in all other bugzilla i must click on "my reports"

i know that freedestkop is an effort to unify desktops , please unify your bugzilla

It's not "our bugzilla" - FDO is independent of LibreOffice and is actually the bug tracker for a ton of FLOSS software - we really have very little control over it and thus why the product is "freedesktop.org" and not "LibreOffice"

It's up to the admins at FDO to decide what they want to implement and what they don't

We are using the standard "My Bugs" search from upstream, and since it's been this way for a long time, I'm not going to change it. Changing it would break people's workflow, so closing as wontfix.
