Description Josh Kim 2012-08-03 03:08:13 UTC
Problem description:
A merged cell with background colour and text/number is splited when a row is added above and the text is edited(addition or deletion of character(s)). Undoing the action does not remerge the cell and when clicked on any of the cells affected, the background colour of the cells without the text disappears.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open a new spreadsheet.
2. Merge A1:C1.
3. Enter any text or number.
4. Add background color.
3. Insert a row from row 1.
4. Either add or delete a letter or number in the merged cell and hit enter.

Current behavior:
1. Merged cell splits.
2. Ctrl+z does not revert to the merged cell but only the edited text is undone and when clicked on any cells with the background color, the background color in B1:C2 disappears.

Expected behavior:
1. The merged cell should remain merged.

@Josh Kim
Thank you for your report – unfortunately important information is missing.
May be hints on <http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport> will help you to find out what information will be useful to reproduce your problem? If you believe that that is really sophisticated please as for Help on a user mailing list
Please:
- Attach a test kit with sample documents (not only screenshot) "beforeenter.ods" and "afterenter.ods"; to attach a file to this
bug report, just click on "Add an attachment" right on this page.
- Attach screenshots with comments if you believe that that might explain the
problem better than a text comment. Best way is to insert your screenshots
into a DRAW document and to add comments that explain what you want to show
- Contribute a document related step by step instruction containing every
key press and every mouse click how to reproduce your problem
(similar to example in Bug 43431). May be it's relevant how you did your
actions (Menu? Task bar? Context menu?)
– if possible contribute an instruction how to create a sample document
  from the scratch
- add information
  -- concerning your PC
-- concerning your OS (Version, Distribution, Language)
-- concerning your LibO localization (UI language, Locale setting)
–- Libo settings that might be related to your problems
    (video hardware acceleration ...)
-- how you launch LibO and how you opened the sample document
–- Whether you already observed the problem with more early LibO versions.
–- Whether the problem persists after you have renamed you user profile.

-- everything else crossing your mind after you read linked texts
