Description Thomas Klausner 2012-08-25 22:30:25 UTC
The configs were created by Nonaka Kimihiro <nonaka@NetBSD.org> for NetBSD. I've extracted them so they can be included in the official xbeyboard-config releases.
I'll attach a patch against git HEAD shortly.

Patch adding the new configs.

The patch adds keyboard configs for Sharp Zaurus SL-C3x00, Sharp WS003SH/WS007SH, and Sharp WS011SH/WS020SH. It is against git HEAD from yesterday.

Thanks for the materials. If you don't mind, could you please provide a bit of context?
Do you know if NetBSD is planning to introduce evdev driver? I am asking because in Linux there is no need in vndr-specific sections, it is all covered on the lower levels. I am trying to estimate how important is the code you are contributing.

I've asked on the corresponding mailing list, and here's an answer (from a NetBSD developer who works on X a lot, mostly for older hardware):
http://mail-index.netbsd.org/tech-x11/2012/08/26/msg001151.html

So I don't think it will appear soon. Does this answer help?

Thanks, that make sense. Committed. Just one thing - you did not add the model to rules/base.xml.in. Is that intentional?
