Screenshot - LibreOffice Help, default text size

Thank you for your bug report!

However, I am not sure if there is really a bug. The attached screenshot shows how the LibreOffice Help window looks when opened on my machine (MacBook Pro 2010, Mac OS X 10.6.8) with default settings -- IMHO the text size is not too tiny, rather too big ;-)

A simple explanation for the difference would be that it is possible to “zoom” the help text size: if I move the mouse pointer over the help text area, I can enlarge and reduce the text size by the usual gestures (two fingers at the same time on the track pad, move them away from each other to enlarge, and move them closer together to reduce text “zoom”). Maybe a mouse wheel or other special devices will have the same effect.

Is it possible that you have just reduced the text size by accident, and just need to enlarge it again? This would be the simplest solution.

However, if you can’t zoom the text size, and are sure that you have not reduced it youself, please test the following:

1) Quit LibreOffice
2) Open the folder
      ~/Library/Application Support/
~ is your home/user folder, which is at
      <Volume name>/Users/<Your user Name>/
so the full folder path would be
      <Volume name>/Users/<Your user Name>/Library/Application Support/
3) In the folder "Application Support", search for the folder "LibreOffice".
4) Select that folder "LibreOffice" and rename it, e.g. to "LibreOffice-old".
5) Start LibreOffice again.
6) Open LibreOffice Help, and check the text size.
Is it OK now, or still wrong?
Please report this here again via adding an additional comment.

Thank you very much!

Dear Roman!

Thank you for your quick answer, I am amazed! Of course you are absolutely right, I reduced the font size by accident. :-( (Not even did I know I could zoom in the help files). And of course your tip to zoom in again was right, my fault, embarrassing.

Not to forget to mention I love your great Office Suite. I don't like Microsoft, so thank you very much for this cool tool. I'll try not to bother you again with these kinds of "bugs", I promise. :-)

Excuse my humble English, I'm a kraut ;-)

Greetings from Berlin, Germany!
J.

Ah, good to hear that! It is always nice when a problem is solvable by a simple solution. And I have to confess that is is far from obvious that one can zoom the help text ... (It would be nice if we had some visible controls for that, e.g. two '+' and '-' buttons in the little toolbar right above the help text; I will file an enhancement request for that, maybe some developer finds time to add this.)

Thank you for your warm words! I will forward them, at least to the QA list ...

No problem -- I know myself how difficult it can be to distinguish between a feature and a bug ;-) So, if you encounter something strange or annoying, be brave and report it, with all details necessary to reproduce the problem exactly, and we will see what we can make out of it.

Me too ;-) Warm greetings from Baden-Württemberg ...
