Since LO Calc Version 3.5 'Paste Special' is not visible in context menu when more then one row or column is selected. This did not happen in version 3.4 an older versions. This bug ist not fixed in version 3.6 and 3.61
That's not true, but with some modification in the summary it's [Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.6.1.2 German UI/ German Locale [Build-ID: e29a214] on German WIN7 Home Premium (64bit) Steps to reproduce: 1. Into New Spreadsheet fill A1,B1,C1 with "a","b","c". 2. Select Columns A:C by mouse in Column Headings 3. Select Column D 4. Menu 'Edit' Paste Special greyed out / inactive :-( 5. Select Column D:E 6. Menu 'Edit' Paste Special greyed out / inactive :-( 5. Select Column D:E:E 8. Menu 'Edit' Paste Special greyed out / inactive :-)) And so on. Same for rows. Already reproducible with 3.5.1 Paste special will always work if nothing is selected for paste and also if only cell groups are selected for paste. May be it's a feature? @MissWilberforce: Can you please do some research concerning my suspect that that's a feature?
But research please for "Bug 46300 - UI: Paste Special for multiple Columns and Rows only available if No. of selected Cols/Rows for paste is divisible by No of copied Cols/Rows" *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 46300 ***
