Description mehmet.giritli 2012-09-13 09:05:52 UTC
I have several external audio inputs that I use frequently and in order to do that I need to use module-loopback. But it is very annoying and tiresome to adjust the volume levels etc. every time. AFAIK, there is no way to restore settings for module-loopback, is there?

Restoring the volume levels should work if you assign a media role for the loopback streams. An example:

pactl load-module module-loopback sink_input_properties=media.role=whatever

Now if you adjust the loopback stream's volume (the playback side, that is), module-stream-restore should save the volume for the "whatever" role and restore it when a stream appears again with the same role.

I don't think this is very user-friendly still, so I think the bug is valid anyway.
