- xorg-server 1.12.2-1.12.4

- nvc0 "NVIDIA Corporation GF106GL [Quadro 2000] (rev a1)"
- amd or intel based motherboards

Some similarity with #54883 but here the corruptions are benign, nothing except graphical output is affected.
Comment 1 Jérôme Carretero 2012-09-15 16:15:57 UTC
Downgrading cairo from 1.12.2 to 1.10.2 (thanks to chithead pointing https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=409593) removed the artifacts.

Apparently this is still a nouveau issue though.
Comment 2 Jérôme Carretero 2012-09-15 16:29:02 UTC
Re-used the latest cairo and attempted to use a workaround suggested in https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=47266#c37 :

[ 6206.704] (WW) NOUVEAU(0): Option "EXAPixmaps" is not used

But the glitches still appear.

The issue in bug 54883 has been fixed by updating xf86-video-nouveau to 1.0.3

Can you give it a go ?

Resolution in xf86-video-nouveau-1.0.3 confirmed, thanks!
