I had a similar experience. Running Win 7 64-bit Home Pre. Difference: Powerdesk8 works fine for me. Even Powerdesk5 did not show anything but did not crash either. In Windows Explorer: Even only hovering the mouse over a .odb file crashes Explorer. Also with older files ( my oldest is from 2006). Running Explorer as Adminstrator had no positive effect. I used Base before I discovered this behavior, so 1. thought something left over from BASE, but same crashing after restarting PC.
Addendum: Just installed LO 3.6.2 release as main LO and now everything is ok. Had LO 3.6.1 release installed before as main. Sort of weird!!
Marius: sur pc Debian x86-64 avec les sources 3.6 mises à jour hier, je peux ouvrir les 2 fichiers. (Test.odb pointe vers un fichier Excel situé sur G:) Pourriez vous effectuer une réinstallation complète de LibreOffice, soit : - désinstaller LO - Supprimer (pour sauvegarder des customisations) le répertoire contenant le profil de LO (cf https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile) - nettoyer la base de registre Windows (pour être sûr que tout est propre) avec un outil gratuit tel que ccleaner - installer la dernière version de la branche 3.6, soit la 3.6.5 voire la toute nouvelle 4.0 ? Attention, sur Windows, LO ne fonctionne pas avec Java 64 bits.
