Support in XKB for Catalan PC keyboards, as manufactured by Large Format Computing, Inc. For details on the key layout, see http://www.language-keyboard.com/languages/catalan_layout.htm Note: in ISO-639, either "ca" or "cat" can be used to refer to the Catalan language. Since "ca" is already taken, I'll opt for "cat" as the filename.

Since xkeyboard-config is trying to be country-oriented, could I put this as es(cat) if you don't mind?
Please note that Catalan is spoken in 4 different countries, not just Spain. And in one of them (Andorra), it is the official language. Therefore, if you really must use country codes, it'd be perfectly correct to use "ad". Both "cat" and "ad" are ISO codes for language and country, respectively, so I'm happy with either of them. Thanks!
OK, I will create layout 'ad' (Andorra) - and if someone in Spain would want it, they'll just include it into 'es' as well (same fo other countries). Does it make sense?
I'd buy anything that doesn't politize it. Idealy, that'd be "cat", but I'm fine with "ad" if you like. So, yes, it makes sense. Thank you!
OK, I committed it. The group name is "Andorra" because it is default layout for this country (other countries will have something like "Spain - Catalan"). See http://cvs.freedesktop.org/xlibs/xkbdesc/symbols/ad. Thanks for your help.
Please note that this isn't the default layout in any country, though. It is a fairly uncommon product that has been dessigned specificaly for Catalan typewriters. That said, if you have to associate it with a country, Andorra is the best take. Other combinations have a political connotation that wouldn't be very well recieved by everyone. Thank you.
