The following error is generated with that combination:

/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/4.6.3/../../../../x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ld: .libs/echo-cancel-test: hidden symbol `atexit' in /usr/lib64/libc_nonshared.a(atexit.oS) is referenced by DSO

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

The Internet suggests that this is not uncommon, but I've not found a solution yet.

can't reproduce with 4126535e0eddbfc4c4b7813acdd72ba07848baa6 on Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.3-1ubuntu5)
