Monitor output

X11R7.7
X.Org X Server 1.12.3
Trident module 1.3.5
(slackware-current / slackware 14.0)

Attempting 1024x768 depth 24 with Trident ProVidia 9685 PCI (Jaton), windows are stretched to the right and trashed with flickering and static. See photos.

Given some pointers on where to start, I'm willing to build from source and test patches.

Workaround: Use vesa driver, get ugly interlaced mode.

Comment 5 David Flater 2012-10-08 20:21:19 UTC
Found better workaround: reduce color depth to 16 bpp. No problem at 16 bpp.
