Problematic version/package: xserver-xorg-video-intel_2%3a2.20.10+git20121015.b42d81b6-0ubuntu0sarvatt~precise_i386.deb Causes: lots of color corruption on screen. Switching windows redraws and gets different corruption at each time. Some text becomes unintelliglbe. Some background/foreground colors are simply switched. The xorg-edgers repo suggests filing bug reports directly here, so I did. Downgrading back to the older: xserver-xorg-video-intel_2%3a2.20.9+git20121001.51202798-0ubuntu0sarvatt~precise_i386.deb resolved the problem. fixed the problem.
