Hi Kevin

Does your LVDS work correctly ?
When are you connecting your TV - during boot or later?

Here are a few thing for you to try
1. Boot without "video=uvesafb:1280x800-32" from your command line
2. Boot your system without the TV, then connect it after X is up
3. Boot your system with the TV plugged in
- do you see any output on it ?
- if not attach the dmesg

Consider attaching dmesg output [1] of some of the above do not work

LVDS-1 always works.
I booted without the video=.

With hdmi plugged in at boot there is no display before or after X and xrandr --auto.

With hdmi plugged in after X starts and xrandr --auto still black.

I will attach X log and dmesg from both attempts labeled.

Please re-test with the latest kernel. There was a display rework in 3.8 that should have helped things like HDMI. There were subsequent fixes to hdmi audio, and indications are that it should be working in 3.11-rc6 on most cards.

If you're still having trouble on 3.11-rc6, please supply a dmesg output from it along with your vbios (/sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/vbios.rom).

No response to re-test request in over a month, closing as invalid. Note that this sounds similar to bug 60680, perhaps a dup, but insufficient info to tell one way or the other.
