loading of nouveau fails, kernel log attached (loading of drm/nouveau at the end of the log file)

hardware: heatpipe cooled GeForce 6200 (no fan) with 512MB ram

nouveau_mem_init_agp() -> get_agp_mode() appears to return an aperture of zero size

Have you tried booting any other kernel. Completely ignore all the userspace bits. We're mainly interested it the line
0 MiB GART (aperture) // the number should be non zero

Has this improved on the latest kernels? If not, could you try a 3.2 kernel? (There was another bug that identified dea7e0ac45fd as the cause of an unrelated-seeming issue, but *was* AGP-related.)

Please be sure to supply a dmesg from every kernel you try.
