Description Zbigniew 2012-11-04 17:17:37 UTC
The line of kind:
 Virtual 1600 1200
in the "Screen" section doesn't give a desired effect: there's no "virtual desktop", of the size larger than the "physical one" (the one taken from a list of "Modes").

When it'll be brought back?

It's even worse nowadays, since the "xrandr --mode x --panning y " trick doesn't work anymore (xorg-servers 1.12.3). Therefore there's a need for "Virtual" in xorg.conf, as it always used to be - until someone brought an "enhancement" by removing this very useful option.
