Description Robert Valik 2006-01-24 18:04:57 UTC
When I start Xorg 7.0 (built from gentoo portage) everything works fine. Even
the 3D acceleration. But after some time (from 10 seconds to 10 minutes) my
notebook totaly freezes. I cannot see nothing in logs/dmesg. I didn't create any
xorg.conf. Tried to create xorg.conf with glx/dri/exa turned on and off - no
difference. I also realized that in most cases computer locks up faster with
higher load on graphics.
The card is identified as
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV350 [Mobility Radeon
9600 M10]
but it is Ati Radeon 9700
I use Suspend2 kernel 2.6.14-r6

Please post your xorg.log and your xorg.conf. Also are you using DRI or the
properity ati version?

Closing due to the lack of activity. If the problem still persists make sure you
have tested with a current version of xorg, mesa and drm/dri.
Please attach your xorg.conf and your xorg.log.
