Description Philip M. White 2012-11-14 22:52:30 UTC
On Windows 8 32-bit, with LibreOffice 3.6.2, I want to print a one-page MS Word 97-2003 document in the most usual way (File -> Print) while having the document open and editable. The print dialog comes up normally, where I keep the default printer (Xerox ColorQube 9201) and don't change any settings. As soon as I click Print, LibreOffice creates a blank page in front of the one-and-only existing page. Both pages are sent to the printer. Then I have to manually remove that extra page. This is reproducible.

If, on the other hand, I print from Print Preview, everything works as expected. No rogue blank pages appear.

This bug was actually experienced by a customer of mine (I witnessed it), so I don't have that specific document handy. I also have not tried other documents. I can get the document and try other stuff if this bug isn't a dupe.

Philip, Thanks for submitting this bug. Much appreciated :-)

Cor, does this sound like bug 42099 that you've just fixed?

I know. But not sure: it's not so common that there is an extra page before a one page document. Therefore I would like to see the document itself.

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.3.5 or later): https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

Update the version field
Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

Thank you for your help!
