Description Pete Beardmore 2012-11-20 10:16:05 UTC
hi.

it takes 20 seconds to re-generate the scripts (xdg-mime, xdg-open etc.) from their respective '.in' files, so why not blacklist them from the repo and add a make dependency for 'make scripts'?

i've just pulled the git repo excited about the mimeinfo.cache fix, but it took some (unnecessary IMO) further digging to realise the executables that are pulled are deprecated and need re-generating. i can't think of a use case that wouldn't require the scripts being re-generated to bring them in-line with the latest code, hence can't think why it is as it currently is

cheers

The generated scripts are no longer included in the repo.
