Description Peter Fenwick 2012-12-12 19:31:49 UTC
Problem description:
I am using DocumentsToGo 4.0.12 (435) (DataViz Corp) for an iPod Touch.
Files xxx.doc produced by LibreOffice cannot be read by DocumentsToGo on the iPod.
"Filtering" the .doc file through Pages gives a readable file.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a .doc file on LibreOffice
2. Sync with iPod DocumentsToGo to copy file to iPod
3. Attempt to open file on iPod.

Current behavior:
Reports bad file format

Expected behavior:
Should open file

Operating System: Mac OS X

A minimal .doc file to show the problem

As far as I can tell ALL LibreOffice Writer files give this error. Rewriting the file with TextEdit (Mac) also fixes the problem, as does Pages.

Also, please note that I will be unavailable until early January 2013.

I am sure that the requested info WAS supplied.
But DocsToGo (DataViz) insists there is no problem, as their program handles .docx file correctly (and it does). But DocsToGo does not read LibreOffice .xlsx files, but that is a different problem.

The bug may be closed, as I know to detour it.
