Hello
My system: gentoo x86 3.5.7-gentoo

lspci | grep VGA
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: VIA Technologies, Inc. CN896/VN896/P4M900

openchrome-0.3.1 build with dri

I start X -configure (X log attach), then X -config /root/xorg.conf.new and thats all, no screen, no reaction. After reboot I have not any Xorg logs

I will be recieving hardware in the middle of January that has this problem. I will be able to fix it then.

I received the new hardware and could repeat the problem. I created a fix and have merged it into the master branch. Please do a checkout and try it.
