Fabio Marconi, setting default print options is documented in https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Print_3 .
The settings changed in the way I use are remembered by Gedit but not by L.O., also in the way suggested by the help page I've got only few controls. I dunno if the printer settings page that appear is from cups or L.O., but in every case is a fault in L.O. not remembering it's settings Thanks Fabio
Fabio Marconi, printer device specific default preferences are set by the package system-config-printer.
Created attachment 72305 [details] this is the window i'm talking about
Ok, great suggestion. The 'printer settings' window of L.O. cannot change the settings of system-config-printers, so everytime it is launched takes the value from system-config-printers, but in contrast to what it show, it cannot modify these settings. Imho this is a bug, Gedit works right, it change the default settings (system-config-printers) then when it complete it's work, it resert to default (if it is the way, or it simply override the system-config-printer printing directly as it need), i'm not expert. Hope this time I explain better.
uhm, L.O. can change the settings, but it don't remember for the next restart
so everytime i've to set it to fast economy
