Description joaoboia 2013-02-04 19:38:17 UTC
Certain applications like Skype or Steam, stop being able to see or detect sound from my standard anolog microphone when I change to enable_remixing=no.
It works fine with default Settings.

To reproduce:

1- Install Spype and/or Steam
2- Test if microphone is wonrking (test call on Skype or voice panel on Steam), it should work.
3- change settings to enable_remixing=no
4- Restart Pulseaudio
5- Test again, it should fail to detect the microphone.

Relevant information:
pavumeter -record detects the microphone signal with either setting
pavucontroll also fails to detect the signal if enable_remixing=no
Some application like gnome-sound-recorder also work fine with either setting

Kubuntu 12.10 64-bit
KDE 4.9.98

The other duplicate is about sinks, not sources, but is still a duplicate.
