Description YK Loh 2013-03-16 00:49:01 UTC
Problem description: Have reported bug in version 3.5.4 and was resolved by changing profile folder as directed:-
(In reply to comment #8)
> - Close LibreOffice (+ Quickstarter, if enabled).
> - Select the folder 'bundled' in LibreOffice user profile; path:
> ...\LibreOffice\3\user\extensions\bundled.
> - Rename the folder 'bundled' to 'bundled_old'.
> - Restart LibreOffice (maybe you need to start it twice due to bug 43989).

Spellcheck worked after the Folder name changed...
Was working fine all along with until version 4.0.0.0.
Just 1 day before I updated to version 4.0.1.2, I discovered spell check was not working again. Anyway I downloaded and updated to version 4.0.1.2 hoping it was just a glitch.

After installing it last night (15March2013) I ran a typical spell test and LibO Writer was not able to highlight spelling errors with sample sentence below:-
" The quik broawn foxx jummp ovar the mooin"....

Also notice whenever spellcheck doesn't work the Thesaurus (under Tools> Language> Thesaurus Ctrl+F7)also is blanked out and cannot be used.

Tried using the old method again by renaming the Folder "Bundled" to "Bundled Old" BUT that didn't work either.

However when I opened older documents written around Feb 2013 everything worked fine (spellcheck and thesaurus) BUT not with recent documents written these past few days????
Please help and Thank you.

not reproducible with LO 4.0.2.2 (Win7 Home, 64bit)

Does this issue still persist for you with the latest release of LO? Could you please give more information about the different steps to reproduce this issue.
