Description Gustavo J. A. M. Carneiro 2006-03-18 00:53:19 UTC
shared mime defines .deb packages as application/x-deb

However, apache2 reads /etc/mime.types wich contains:
application/x-debian-package                    deb udeb

Wikipedia agrees with /etc/mime.types:

If a mime-type isn't registered with the IETF, then it might as well be made up
(and Wikipedia isn't a definitive source of information ;)

        * freedesktop.org.xml.in: add application/x-debian-package as an alias
        for application/x-deb, as used by Apache, spotted by Gustavo
